Huh! Watermelon! Sounds like snack time to me. There’s nothing more refreshing than a cup of freshly blended juicy watermelon. A plate of nicely sliced watermelons calling to all to have a bite you won’t regret.
Aside their refreshing property, watermelon also has a wide range of health benefits.
There are different types of watermelons. Interesting I believe! The five common types are the seeded, the seedless, the mini, the yellow and the orange. Let’s have a look at some benefits this juicy fruit can offer us. One tip a week, one slice a week. Today, let’s talk hydration.
HYDRATION
Watermelon contains 90% of water which makes it useful for staying hydrated in the hot weather. It can also satisfy a sweet tooth with its natural sugars.
Watermelon also contains antioxidants. These substances can help eject molecules known as free radicals, or reactive species, from the body. The body produces free radicals during natural processes, such as metabolism. They can also develop through smoking, air pollution, stress and other environmental pressures.
Let’s try eating some water-melon this week.
Don’t miss out on our next tip.
