A concerned NPP youth group in the Savanna Region is appealing to President Akufo-Addo to stop the Northern Regional New Patriotic Party Chairman Alhaji Mohammed Baatima Adam Samba and the Party's Regional organiser Alhaji Rashid not to venture anywhere in the Damongo.
The Savanna Regional NPP elections is to be held in Damongo and according to the concerned youth of the party, the two northern regional executives of the party have interest in the internal affairs of the party in the Savannah and the North East Regions.
The youth went further to accuse the duo of disuniting the party if their actions are not checked.
Below is the full statement:
Chairman Samba stay away from Savannah regional elections….. Concerned Youth of SR warns
We the concern Youth of NPP in Savannah Region is calling on Chairman Samba of NPP Northern Region to stay away from the upcoming Regional elections in Savannah region.
In some few days to come our cherish delegates of Savannah, the enclave would have the opportunity to elect leaders whom they think best qualified to run the affairs of the party in the Region.
They would be electing leaders who are competent, peace loving, and leaders whom the grassroot supporters of the party would be looking up to.
The insatiable desire for the Northern Regional Chairman, Mohammed Baantima Samba to have control over the infant region demand condemnation.
Confirmed information reaching the youth indicates that the Northern Regional NPP Chairman, Mohammed Baantima Samba and The Regional Organizer for Northern Region, Alhaji Rashid COP have interests in the internal affairs of Savannah and the North East Regions.
This action of blatant disrespect for the independence of regional blocks has the potential of weakening the NPP in the Savannah region and we aren't going to seat unperturbed for the parochial interest of some two leading members of the party in the northern region to mare the euphoria of peace and unity in Savannah region.
We are calling on the duo, Chairman Samba and Alhaji Rashid COP to stay away from Damongo, The Savannah Regional Capital on the 20th of May, 2019.
We therefore use this opportunity to call on H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party leadership to put Chairman Samba and Alhaji Rashid COP to order, for their tactics to divide the party in the Region is dead on arrival.
We end by calling on peace loving NPP youth to stand and pray for the peace of our great party in the region.
God bless NPP.
God bless Savannah Region.
